The exceptional conditions of the Chilean sky for astronomy have allowed it to be an undisputed leader concentrating 70% of world capacities. However, Astronomical Education in Chile is not a developed area. In primary education, astronomy occupies only 6.25% of the topics in the Natural Sciences. The aim is to develop a state of art of astronomical education in Chile, for this reason meetings and focus groups were held with teachers of primary and secondary science. This research is descriptive, using data collection techniques with qualitative analysis techniques. As a result, it was possible to identify new topics of interest, needs for their training and to strengthen the study program at school. Lines of action for future investigations are proposed according to the findings.
